Applied Grammar Course for Teachers of English
This course is designed for teachers who already feel comfortable with the essentials of English grammar, both in terms of concepts and terminology, and who want to develop a wider repertoire of techniques and approaches for use when introducing and practising new grammar items in the classroom.

It builds on the introductory grammar course, and extends your range of techniques for researching and analysing grammar points and then applying this understanding in class.

As appropriate, we’ll also look at language varieties (for example, British and American), appropriacy and register, phonological issues, functional approaches to grammar, how the language is developing and changing, etc.
The course is especially useful for more experienced teachers who want to go beyond the basics.

Dates: 10, 17 and 24 June 2017 from 9.00 to 16.15.
