TLC inside - Thanksgiving in Canada

Nancie is our Academic Director, Teacher Trainer and English Teacher. She is Canadian by birth and has lived in Switzerland with her family for many years. And as you all know it, far away from home, one likes to cherish and cultivate traditions. And so does Nancie. Thanksgiving is particularly close to her heart.

"Thanksgiving day or “Jour de l'Action de grâce” in French Canadian, occurs on the 2nd Monday of October. This is my favourite seasons with the spectacular colours of the Canadian autumn. Food traditionally served at Thanksgiving include roasted turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet corn, pumpkin pie, and Nanaimo bars and much more…. But check it out – I’ve put together a few of my favourite Canadian recipes for you! Hope you’ll enjoy a bit of Canadian tradition!
