FPELE compact course
TLC International House Zurich-Baden has been training language teachers for many years and has been offering the "Formación para Profesores de Español como Lengua Extranjera" (FPELE) course since 2014. This course is aimed at teachers with or without previous experience and who are interested in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Course content: Teaching practice and theoretical input covering: - Reflect on what it means to learn a language - Reflect on foreign language teaching: methodology - The role of the teacher and the student in the classroom - Language analysis - Teaching grammar - Learn vocabulary and selection of texts - Lesson planning - Analysis and selection of coursebooks and materials - Communication techniques and communicative exercises in foreign language teaching Teaching practice We attach great importance to this part of the course. The participants teach volunteer students in small groups at 2 different levels. During teaching practice, the trainee is observed by a tutor who leads the feedback session following the lesson In addition to teaching practice, the practical part of the course includes the following two components: input sessions with experienced teachers and written assignments. Prerequisite: Non-native speakers wishing to attend the course should be able to demonstrate at least C1 level in Spanish according to the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
